Clowning Around
Right now I am in the pediatric hospital library and the hospital clown has just come in to use the internet. We have exchanged pleasantries and she has put on her glasses and is surfing what are probably pornographic websites.
There is a resident in here. I heard him telling someone earlier that he is an adult general surgery resident, just rotating through peds. He is absolutely mesmerized by the clown. He mouth is open as he stares endlessly at the back of her head. I love this place and have just realized that clown shoes can be very fashionable with the right outfit.
OH MY GOD! The clown just came over and asked me about a pin on my jacket - the one that says “MEOW”. I showed her, and she proceeded to give me a URAQT sticker and a white sticker with an X on it. She said “do you know what that is?” I could not figure it out. Then she delivered her punch line “It’s a clean X” she said. I died inside. I love this place.
I like this clown because she is a bit edgy. Kind of like Mrs. Doubtfire when she used to put her feet up with a beer and belch, or get on the bus and spread her hairy legs!

A clown. S and I are in the McMaster Health Sciences Library...there is no clown here!! Cosmo Kramer is afraid of clowns you know.
I have read some of your other stuff....S says that you are following our footspteps. First you are in OBGYN while we are pregnant and now you are in PEDS while we are in the NICU. Crazy stuff. How come no one responds to your posts....am I the only one? If I had more time I would post more...right now Benjamin needs me more. S also wanted me to tell you that she reads your stuff and laughs - she thinks you should write a book. I feel the same.
The little man is good...they are working on maintaining his blood sugar (aka glucose) at the moment. Other than that, he is good. Mom and Dad still stressed. that is it for now.

I'm so happy to hear that Ben is doing well. It sounds like he's been pretty strong from the start. Yes, it is a funny parellel, I've just finished a week in the NICU.
I would love to write a book, but I don't have any real ideas for a topic.
Yes, Brad is doing great. He is placing really well in some of his tournaments. He is also in love with his GF. He is a good man.

Just to add to Mer's comments, Brad is over the moon with happiness. He is experiencing some of the effects of fame. People are beginning to recognize him and ask for autographs, and of course, this excites him. He said the US Open was an incredible experience. I'll pass along the message.
